One click moves the front window to the center of its screen, clear of the menu bar and the Dock.
How it works
Click the icon in the menu bar. The front window moves to the center of the screen it is on.
The icon tells you the state. A dot appears in the viewfinder when the active window is already centered, and it dims when there is nothing to center.
Right-click for options: Launch at Login, Accessibility settings, and the macOS keyboard shortcut.

Why does it ask for Accessibility access?
macOS only lets an app move another app's window through its Accessibility permission. Center Window uses it to read the position and size of the front window and to set its new position.
Already on macOS Sequoia or later?
macOS 15 has its own Center command, hidden in the Window menu of each app under Move & Resize, with the shortcut fnctrlC. Center Window puts the same job on a button you can see, shows at a glance whether a window is centered, and works on every Mac back to macOS 12 Monterey.
Install
Download the disk image and open it.
Drag Center Window to your Applications folder, then open it.
Click the icon in the menu bar and allow Accessibility access when asked.
Requires macOS 12 or later. Universal app for Apple silicon and Intel Macs.
Privacy
Center Window has no network access, no analytics and no accounts. It collects nothing and sends nothing. The only permission it uses is Accessibility, to move the window.
